Overview:
The Actuarial Analyst will perform valuation/financial reporting and analysis for Koreabusiness.
The role will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the financialforecasting infrastructure and analytic foundation by developing/maintaining actuarial modelsand processes used not only for valuation, but also to support unbiased business planning,reporting, economic capital refinement, capital planning, cash flow testing, and other suchuses.
The Actuarial Analyst will
provide general valuation, financial analysis, and projectassistance.
DutiesandResponsibilities:
· Generateandmaintaincashflowsprojectionmodelofnewandexistingtreaties
· Mapsactuarialassumptionsfrompricingdocumentsintothevaluationsystem.
· Coordinatesandsummarizesfinancialinformationforinternalandexternalusers.
· Assistsinlocalfinancial/regulatoryreportingandmanagementreporting.
· Implementationexperiencestudiesofmortality,morbidityandlapseandbasischange.
· Quarterlyclosingandresult reporttoregionalofficefor currentUS-GAAPandLDTI.
· Process enhancement of current work process. (Data mapping, Validation, Working file,Automation)
· Annualbusinessplanning:projectionandestimateitsprofitandkeyindicators.
· Recommends and participates in the development and enhancement of underlyingprocesses
· Performsotherdutiesasrequired.
Requirements:
· AtleastBachelor'sdegreeinMath,ActuarialSciences,Statistics
· At least 5 years’ experience of actuarial valuation in life insurance companies or capableofcatching upquickly.
· Actuarialsoftwareexperience(prophetispreferred)
· GoodunderstandingKoreanlifeinsuranceproductsandfinancialstatements.
· GoodunderstandingofUS-GAAPandLDTI.
· GoodverbalandwrittencommunicationskillsinbothKoreanandEnglish.
· Proficient Excel and software skills including database applications is preferred (Access,Oracle,SQL,Macro).
